Carole Timpone, OD, Distinguished University Professor Emerita, served as the Associate Dean of Clinical Programs at 91ÊÓÆµ from 2013-2019. Her areas of interest and expertise include ocular disease, glaucoma, and interprofessional practice. As Director of the 91ÊÓÆµ Eye Clinic in Portland and instructor for fourth-year students on clinical rotations, she received 91ÊÓÆµâ€™s Presidents Award for Excellence in Professional Education. She has served on several professional Boards, including the Director of Education for the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, and the Site Coordinator for the NBEO. Dr. Timpone is the founding Director of the Pacific Interprofessional Diabetes Clinic. Named A Distinguished University Professor at 91ÊÓÆµ in 2009, she has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and the National Academies of Practice.
